Mrs Dr.D.UshaReddy, an alumnus of Rishi Valley School, Jiddu Krishnamurthi Foundation, is a renowned educationist in the twin cities and has an impeccable track record in the field of education.

She joined Meridian School, Banjara Hills as the Principal in 1999 and has been instrumental in shaping the educational philosophy of the schools which have witnessed spectacular progress under her able guidance and dynamic leadership. She helped the management in translating their vision to reality by establishing Meridian Schools at Madhapur, Kukatpally and a Preprimary school, Meridian Kids at Jubilee Hills. It is largely due to her foresight, innovation and diligence that Meridian schools enjoy a commendable reputation in the twin cities, today.

As the CEO of the education vertical Ms. Usha Reddy has a clear vision to take the education vertical to the next level by creating a pan India status. As a first step towards this goal she has envisioned an expansion to the two tier cities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to provide quality education with value for money in 25 locations either through the franchise or joint venture model.

2015-16 was an eventful year and an exclusive Meridian Pre primary curriculum has been formulated under her expert guidance and a successful trial run has been accomplished in the existing schools. The standardization of academic quality across branches was also undertaken and common lesson plans and instructional material were shared with an effective monitoring and mentoring system in place.

Ms. Usha Reddy's dedication in building schools which develop the moral fabric of students who are rooted in Indian culture and tradition but at the same time have a modernistic approach, is in tune with her personal beliefs.

She was the Chairperson of the Hyderabad Sahodaya Schools Complex which consists of 83 CBSE schoolsand has received the National Award 2010 from the Honorable President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil, on 05th September 2011.
